Almamy

Diaby

Almamy is a combo guard with a quick first step, who does a great job of getting by the first line of defense, and when he draws help has a high IQ of when to pass or score it. Skilled passer who sees the court well and gets teammates open shots. At 6'3 he can see over the top of the defense or finish plays at the rim. Almamy finishes around the basket with an array of floaters, mid-range shots, and uses both his right and left hand effectively which makes him tough to stop when he gets in the paint. Defensively, Almamy plays with a lot of energy, has active hands off the ball, and does a really good job of applying ball pressure without giving up straight line drives.

Offensively, Corbin is a skilled passer for a big man, makes the easy play, and finds the open man within the flow of the Offense. Has good hands in the paint and does a good job on the catch of reading
the D. With his ability to pass it and shoot it at his size, you must add him to your list of recruits if you need a stretch 4 or run some high low action. Runs the floor like a guard, knows when to pass and when to score when he is on the block, and does a great job of finding the open man when doubled teamed down low. Showcased the Skill Set to play out of the High Post as well in College.

Eddins

Asher at 6’5 is a college ready shooter with size. Showcased the ability to shoot over the top of the defender and shoot it at a high %. When pressured he is capable of putting it on the floor and has a nice mid-range game pulling up in the paint and shooting over the top of the D. Needs to get stronger to reach his highest potential level, but is a college level talent and big guard whose putting up great numbers at Gateway Prep. If you shoot a lot of 3’s and looking for 2 Guards with size in the 2023 class add this kid to your list of recruits to track.

Canon

Edgecombe

Canon is one of those kids that in the smaller group setting makes you notice him by going full speed in every single drill, never taking a possession off, and just competing to win every situation regardless if a coach is watching or not. Listed as a combo but he is more effective as an off guard with his ability to knock down shots off the catch and off the move. Constantly cutting without the ball in his hands, plays with tremendous energy on both ends, and was one of the most consistent prospects at the camp when it came to showcasing winning ways and making winning plays.

Gernarius

Edwards

Gernarius can put up points in bunches and stays in attack mode on the offensive end which puts constant pressure on the D. At Both Events when we got to the 4 on 4 and 5 on 5 games, he started to separate himself from others and started to look like a $ level prospect. In the open court he was virtually unstoppable going downhill finishing plays in traffic, pushing it and creating offense for himself or others, and although he was constantly attacking he plays with good pace and was able to finish over bigger more athletic defenders. What’s going to move him up college boards down the stretch is the fact that he competes on D as well.

Emerson

I’ve had Mason in a few camps now and he has gotten bigger, more aggressive and is playing at a much higher level on the defensive end since his Jr Season. Mason is at his best attacking the paint and shooting over the top of the defender, or finishing in transition. Scholarship level athlete with all the tools you look for in a young prospect that has room to grow. Active rebounder from the wing position at 6'5 that can defend multiple positions with length and athleticism it takes.

Escamilla

Inside Out Big Man Who Can Play out of the High Post or Go Down Low and Make Plays with his back to the Basket. Great Fit if you run High Low Action in the HC & Set Ball Screens With the Trail Post. Skilled Passer with a Nice Mid-Range Game after setting Ball Screens, and did a great job down low of taking his time after the Catch and scoring it in the Paint. Has the Length, Size and Potential You Look for in a Big. Might be a Year Away, but make no mistake he’s a next level Small Forward (Stretch 4) that would eventually end up in the Rotation after adjusting to the next level. Big Man with a Big Upside that will continue to get better and has the Skill Set & Size that translates to the College Level.

Javier

Espino

Solid high % catch and shoot 3/4 where he can stretch the floor from the perimeter as well. A perfect fit would be a program needing to add toughness, and will use Javier as a stretch 4 for a year and move him to the 3 spot by his 2nd year. Very active defensively, gets in passing lanes, and gets his hands on a lot of balls that force turnovers. His effort and winning plays stand out and will get him additional looks, now just needs the opportunity so he can continue to develop his overall perimeter skill set. The work ethic, hunger and toughness are there that indicate this kid will continue to grow.

Evans

Trey is what Uncommon Exposure is all about, gaining interest and increasing your recruitment by improving and elevating your game after events. Trey has done just that leading New Home to a top 5 ranking in TX Avg. 21ppg and 8rpg. Leads the team in both rebounding and scoring and they are set to make a deep playoff run because of Trey's play this Season. I was already a fan of his toughness and talent as a big 2 Guard from the 2 UCExposure Camps he attended, and he brings a college ready weapon at 6’4 to a Roster with his ability to shoot the 3! Watch some game film and you will see a tough 6’4 shooter that makes a lot of winning plays without the ball in his hands.

Fuller

High Academic, High IQ Big Bodied Forward who has good hands, good footwork in the paint, and scores at will in the paint. Moves well without the ball to get to his spots, and understands how to use angles and his body to finish in traffic or draw fouls. Showed the ability to knock down the open 3 as well in PnR situations. I really liked Jesse’s upside, throw in the fact that he is also Academic All-State, and you can get a late steal in the right fit at the NAIA/D2 Levels. If you run a true Motion, set ball screens and run some HC high low action then take another look at Jesse’s Game Film. No question a next level player, and if you have mechanical engineering at the NAIA or D2 Levels you should 100% bring him on a Visit.
