Houston 'Get Discovered' Camp & Texas State Team Camp Recap And Report

Houston Camp 'Top Prospect' Report

6'1 Point Guard Elton Richardson  |  2026 Cy Falls HS 346-493-2274 Crafty Lead Guard That Competes at a High Level, Does a Great job of making it tough on opposing teams to get in their offense with his relentless ball pressure, and is a College Ready Leady. At both the Houston Camp and TX State Team Camp Elton was the engine that made the car run throughout the Day.  He Continues to add something to his game every time I evaluate Elton in College Level Settings & that is an Indicator that he is putting in the work it takes to turn Interest to Offers when It's all said and done.  Super Quick Playmaker in the Open Court and 2-Way Player to get your eyes on in TABC and the Late Live Periods

Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NCAA D2+

6'5 Playmaker Greg Dumas |  Paris Junior College Sophomore 248-445- 2591 Big Guard that Shows the Ability to Score it at all 3 Levels, Rebounds it a high level from the Guard Position, and is a tough matchup on Offense with his ability to take smaller guards down low or SF out on the Perimeter  and Make Plays.  Really liked Greg out of HS & Nothing has Changed- He's just bigger, stronger and has a better understanding of what it takes to compete every possession at the college level after 2 Years of JC Ball.   Caught in a early Coaching Change this Past Year at Paris JC, but adapted and finished his Sophomore Season strong in one of the toughest JC Conferences in the Country (Region 14) NAIA's Still Looking for Best Available Players Need to Look into big Greg, He's a late Steal that will Come In Immediately and Make an Impact

Projected Levels: NAIA+

6'2 Shooting Guard Ja'Varius Thompson  | JC Soph SAU Tech 240-472-7735  The Best Shooter Hands Down At The AR Camp Was SAU Tech Soph Ja'Varius Thompson, and  nothing changed in Houston.  Not sure why he is still available with his Size and Ability to knock down Shots a  high %.  Coming off a very Productive Sophomore Season where he avg. 14ppg and pulled down 5rpg from the 2 Position, to go along with the fact that he is extremely coachable and competes I can't see him unsigned for long.   NAIA Programs that Shoot a Lot of 3's or need to add a Knock Down Shooter who has Experience Need to Get Game Film on JT!  He's a No Brainer for a NAIA Program or Solid Pickup for NCAA D2 Programs That Run a Lot of Dribble Drive Action and Shoot a high Volume of 3's

Projected Levels: NAIA+ / NCAA D2

6’0 Combo Guard Trae Merchant  | 2026 A&M Consolidated 979-484-4245 Trae is Coming off a  Senior Season where he Earned 1st Team All-District, Offensive POY, and Led the District In Scoring at 23ppg.  Super Quick Combo Guard That Scores it at all 3 Levels,  Plays with a Healthy Chip on His Shoulder, And Is at His Best When The Game Speeds Up.  Capable Playing the PG Position at the Next Level & Can Make PG Plays from the Off Guard Spot- But If You Need Someone That Can Put Points on the Board In Bunches Trae is Worth a Close Look.  Up Tempo Programs Still Filling Final Roster Spots Add Trae To Your List of Recruits To Research, He's a College Level Combo And Scholarship Level Scorer Still Available That Will Help a Team

Projected Levels: D2 JUCO / NAIA

6'4 Wing-Playmaker Tyler Brownlee  |  2027 Houston Randle HS 210-410-2269  Tyler is flying under the Radar after Starring in his Role his Junior Year on a Very Good Randle HS Team That Made it to the Regional Finals in a Tough Houston Area Region.  He won't go unnoticed for long as he is putting in work and putting himself in Position to have a Breakthrough Sr Season and Rise in the Ranks.  Big Guard That Has the Length And Athleticism to Guard the 1-4 Positions, Pursues Boards And Does a Great Job Sprinting His Lane in Transition and Finishing Plays at the Rim.   Don't Wait Late To Get This Kid on Your Radar- Similar to his Teammate 2026 Yanni Ibikunle Who Had a Big Sr Season Expect the Same Leap From Tyler.  Big Wing-Big Upside and Big Motor Equals Big Things Are Ahead for Tyler

Projected Levels:  D1 JUCO / NCAA D2

6’1 2 Guard Jayden Arceanuex |  2026 Samuel Clemens HS 210-548-8101  Tough 2-Way Player that makes Plays off the Bounce, Stays Engaged on and Off the Ball Defensively and Is at his Best in the Open Court Getting Downhill and Making Plays.  Has a Good Release and Shot Mechanics on his Perimeter Shot To Keep Defenses Honest and open up opportunities to attack the paint which is Jayden's College Ready Strength.  Could use one year Developing his Overall Offensive Game at a Top NAIA or JUCO Program the foundation and work ethic is there to play at the next level and will be no brainer for JC's and NAIA's calling me looking to fill final Roster Spots on their Developmental / JV Teams-

Projected Level:  NCAA D3 / NAIA

6’0 Combo Guard Jeremiah Gomez |  2027 PSJA North 956-720-3439  Jeremiah Doesn't Do Things He Can't, Makes The Right Play, Plays With Tremendous Effort, and Like the College Coach On Staff in Houston Stated 'That Kid is a Breath of Fresh Air....'  If You Translate That, He Meant Simply He Does The Right Thing Consistently When He's On The Floor, Soaks Up Coaching, and Knocks Down Shots at a High %.  Small College Lead Guard And College Ready Leader Set To Have a Breakthrough Sr Season In South Texas

Projected Level:  NCAA D3+ / NAIA

6'2 2 Guard Ace Sulemanji  |  2028 Cy Fair HS 832-647-2994 One of Two Super Soph's That Made The Report was Ace from Cy Fair HS.   Playing JV Last Season with Cy Fair behind a Senior Laden 2025-2026 Team, He Will Not Only Make The Transition To Varsity Next Year He Will Play a Big Role on the Always Competitive Cy Fair Teams That End Up In The Playoffs Year In and Year Out.  High IQ 2 Guard That Moves Well Without The Ball, Has a Quick Release In Catch And Shoot Situations, And When Run off the Line Showed The Ability To Put It On The Floor And Finish Plays In Paint.  Track His Progress He Has Plenty of Time On His Side And The Talent To Do Big Things Next Year at Cy Fair

Projected Levels: NCAA D3+ / NAIA

6'1 Combo Guard TK Henry  |  2028 Cy Park HS 281-464-6162 Talk About Upside- And Your Talking About TK Henry!  One of The Quickest Guards I've Evaluated In a 2026 Camp That Has 2 Years To Still Grow His Game.  TK Has Physical Traits And Talent That You Can't Teach And One of Those Is His Speed and Court Savvy.  Scores It In a Variety of Ways, Knocks Down 3's And When Locked In He Can Flat Out Guard.  About Halfway Through The Camp I Walked Up To TK During The Break And Simply Asked Him "Do You Know How Good You Can Be?!" When He Answers That Question With Being More Consistent at Being Consistent In all Facets WATCH OUT!!!  This Kid Is The Real Deal And

His Stock Will Continue To Rise Heading Into His Junior Year

Projected Levels: D1 JUCO / NCAA D2+

Texas State Team Camp Recap

After Getting a Call From Long Time Friend And Assistant Coach (Donte Mathis) At Texas State Asking If I'd Like To Put a Few Teams Filled With 'Top Prospects' From UC Exposure Camps- I Jumped On The Opportunity Without Hesitation.  As I Drove To Houston To Run My Camp The Day Before Games Begin, Apprehension Set In As I Thought It's No Different Than Putting 2 Teams In RCSports SIB Sr Showcase.   WAIT- Well YES It is those teams made up of Sr's That  Have Been Working With Me All Year In My College Prep Program Offered To 'Top Prospects' At My Camps.  Key Word Being- PREP & UC Teams In SIB Showcase Are Prepared For Those Moments Know What They Do Best & Have a Clear Understanding of What College Coaches Truly Look For When Researching 'Top Prospects' In The Year Round Program.  As I Met With Both Teams Before Tip-Off Without Time To Truly Prepare Them For The Moment We Went Over The Four C's That Are Simply A Choice And Hope For The Best And That Was:  1. Compete Consistently 2. Communicate Verbally & Non-Verbally In a Positive Manner 3. Handle Correction / Coaching 4. Care About TEAM Success Over Individual Awards- After Handing Out Jerseys & Our Short Meeting, I  Walked In Thinking WTH Am I Doing It's Summer Time and These Teams Made Up of  'Top Prospects' Playing In TX State Team Camp Have Only Recently Been Added To The Program, Never Practiced or Played Together, And Haven't Had Time It Takes To Truly Elevate Their Game or Understanding To Go From Elite Varsity Player To College Level Recruit Which Is The Mission of Uncommon Exposure & There Is No Secret Pill Or Easy Road You Can Pay For To Accomplish What It Takes To Turn Interest To An Offer.  How The Heck Am I Going To Prepare These Kids or Get Them To TRUST What Is Important To Have a Good Showing And Represent Themselves Well-  Having Said That,  These Two Teams That Played Were Made Up Of Players That Showcased The Most Will, Effort and Toughness at a Camp so that's a Good Starting Point-  Not Only Did These kids Bring That To The TX State Team Camp, I Couldn't Be More Proud of THEM On How They Handled The Four C's Mentioned Above & What Separates Uncommon Exposure Camps From Overcrowded Showcases When It Comes To Finishing on 'Top' at a Camp.   They Did More Than Represent What An Uncommon Recruit Should Look Like, They Exceeded My Expectations So Let's Take a Look At Both Groups
